You’re probably going to say that this isn’t a craft beer because of the size of the brewery. Fair enough. Regardless of the fact that this is a nationally distributed product, there is something to be said about brewing it right. And, this my friends, is brewed it right.
I’ve tasted dozens of pilsners from craft / micro / nano breweries and there are few that can match up to Steam Whistle Pilsner. It’s light but packed with flavour, and offers up a whisper of hops that kiss the pallette.
The biggest mistake most craft brewers make with a pilsner, is trying to be too cute with the hops. It is a simple beer, with simple needs. The hops are not the star of the show, so don’t make them the star of the show.
Steam Whistle has put together a recipe that simply rocks. It’s what happens when you’ve been brewing one beer for 20 years, and you brew it right. This is a beer I could drink all day, every day.
Well that’s it for now, gonna go quench this panda sized thirst… cheers eh!
